We all know and see the digital shift. But I still get asked what exactly is a digital marketing strategy, especially versus a broader marketing strategy. What goes into it? What matters?
These questions keep popping up in my emails every once in a while.
The point of this article is to clarify what a digital marketing strategy is. I will then show you what you need to be making a digital marketing strategy for your business.
A strategy is nothing more than a plan, like a training course, for being an effective affiliate. A good marketing plan, a good affiliate marketing plan should be something you can implement by spending your time on it and knowing what to do and where to go when you are done.
There are two main things that go into a digital marketing strategy. The first is to collect the latest information on the most popular digital products out there. What are the latest trends? What are the most popular products, that people are looking for?
Secondly you need to collect the most recent information you can find on the most popular products. Because in digital marketing there is a continual evolution of products out there, the customers and the market. This is why you need to collect recent information from credible sources. You do not want to waste your time searching for information that is out of date.
These are the two primary goals of your strategy.
Collect the Latest Information
Collect the latest information should come from the customer support sites of the products you are promoting. For example look at the customer support pages of products like cameras. Why would anyone call the customer support number of a camera company? Why would a person want to buy a camera?
Because they want to record a video, take still pictures, edit a still picture, etc. Find out what other customers are doing with the products you are promoting. If they are enjoying their cameras and want to buy more then by all means include these examples in your strategy. But be careful don’t cross the line too often because your customers will know and they will stop buying from you.
Also find out what other customers are doing with the different programs they are using and then also create a digital marketing strategy for each of these customers that way you will have an advantage over everyone else in the market.
What is a Digital Marketing Strategy? A digital marketing strategy is information that is important for a customer to have at the tip of their fingers. Also it must be valuable. Some of the information that are important for the customer to have at the tip of their fingers will include tips on how to take still pictures, edit videos, search engines, how to do online searches, ect. Also collect information that will help your customers and give it to your affiliates to use in their own digital marketing strategies. The information can include how to use search engines, what websites bring you traffic, how to use social media, how to use e-mail marketing, etc.
If your customers trust you and believe in you then they are more likely to buy from you. If they think you are just telling them to buy a product then they won’t. Always make sure that your digital marketing strategy is valuable and is a digital product that is needed by your customers. A digital product is a product that is delivered to the customer digitally.
Now you know how to find out if your digital marketing strategy is worth your customers time and valuable. But how do you build a profitable campaign. Well if you want a successful campaign that will earn you at least four figures by next year then you must know how to build a profitable campaign. So my advice to you is create an affiliate marketing campaign and learn how to build it. The only way you will learn this is by spending time and taking action.
